Holiday trading has started with Precious Metals trading steady

The US Dollar is covered again (thank you London) after some hard data hit the board in yesterday’s trade causing the Dollar to drop below the 88 marker hitting a low of 87.77 before support came in with the trade now at 88.055,  up 9.3 points because a foreign country says so and not because of anything else.   Treasuries are…See More

Silver, Gold, and Crypto’s, take off as deliveries and riots take front stage

The currency war continues with the US Dollar,  believe it or not,  causing the most damage as foreign entities buy up the fiat as Japan and Europe do the “print into oblivion” dance that the US has done these past 40+ years with the Dollar now at 88.21,  up 4/10ths of a point after reaching up to 88.31 before pulling back. …See More

FOMC minutes and the futures markets

The Fed considered making a change, but didn'tThe release of FOMC minutes (basically a transcript of the discussions that took place in the most recent Fed meeting), can't get much more boring than they were today.  There are days the minutes trigger nearly as much volatility than the actual FOMC meeting; obviously, this wasn't one of those occasions. The Fed minutes were exactly as most expected them to be.  All but one member supported the end of the quantitative easing program.  Further,…See More

EXPIRATION DRIVING PRICES

This week's monthly expiration of options appears to be driving prices higher due to some short covering. SPX and DJIA broke to new all-time highs Tuesday and above recent building resistance, but the advance was on low volume. We believe this to be more position adjustments than accumulation. In the meantime, yesterday we published an idea on LOW, and that stock is sharply higher following their earnings report this morning. Want more ideas? Donning our war hats, as we store physical Silver, Gold, and Crypto’s

Time to don the war hats as we watch the currency wars expand as the US Dollar’s overseas support mechanism weakens with the trade at 87.675,  up only 3 points inside a tight trading range between a high of 87.85 and it’s low so far at 87.645.   Treasuries are still weaker across the board as we feel it’s only a matter of time before the plug gets pulled on its support.   We still feel the “weirdest spike in history” back on Oct 15th,  has meaning but is yet to be explained which will portend…See More
